So I picked up a lot of extra Amber DME by mistake. Sitting on about 5 pounds of it. Looking to build a recipe off it and put it to use, but most of the recipes I found use Amber DME as a supplemental malt not the backbone of the recipe.

Any suggestions? Extra credit for anybody with a particularly hoppy recipe.

Thanks

Amber dme would probably work fine for a pale ale if you don't add crystal malts. 5 lbs should put you at 1.045 OG. Hop it with what you have on hand would be my recommendation. It's your beer so add as much as you want :) personally I would bitter with something in the 10 AA range and flavor/aroma with cascade. Hope that helps.
