Aluminum Kettle CLEAN

Ok, i know I'm not supposed to clean my aluminum kettle to a shiny brightness. But I gave up the beer stone was too much.

I'll probably have to boil some water in it to get it back to passive. BUT it was worth it!!!!

What did you clean it with? I have an aluminum kettle that I use for cooking.

Mine looks like the first one. Makes good beer so I don't bother cleaning it.

I'm trying to clean my aluminum kettle and not sure how. I know not to use oci-clean but what about dish soap?

I'm not trying to make mine like new as in M1k3's post. Merely want to know how everyone cleans theirs after each boil.

Just water and a scrubby pad works pretty good. Just fine to use dish soap.

I'm still glad I used oxyclean but that's like every 3 years (36 batches) for me.

Just boil some water in it to get a good oxide layer built up again and you'll be good!
