I have an IPA currently in the fermenter that was bittered with magnum and then all Amarillo/Simcoe 15 to 0. Will dry hop with both in the keg. Yummy! :ban:

I read your blog and decided to up the hops a little and add a 30 min hop addition. hopefully will be brewing this tomorrow

i like the 30 min addition in a beer like that, it helps the bitterness come through the darker malt a bit better, IMO. it also lends a bit of deep flavor.

chicky, i like magnums a lot too for bittering. i'd say 90% of my american ale are bittered with either magnum or horizon.

I'd cut the carapils and add a bit of choc malt to the grain bill, literally just a couple ounces.

This recipe looks really good. I'm gonna take a stab at it this weekend with a couple of tweaks to add more IBU's and ABV. Let me know what you think.

OG: 1.082

1 lb. Munich
1lb. Vienna
1lb. White Wheat Malt

1oz. Warrior 60 min

.5oz. Cascade 10 min
