I've just made a batch of red from a belvino wine kit, I'd. Like to leave it age for a while but am unsure if homebrew wine kits are designed to be left to age, for example do they provide enough sulphites for bulk aging or would I need to add more further on

I don't know that kit, but most kits need to have some sulfite added at bottling or aging in the carboy if not bottling right away, due to the fact that there is very little in the kit and that is generally added at degassing.
