Hi all-

I bottled two batches yesterday, and for the second one I accidentally added the priming sugar before taking a hydro reading. Is there a way to calculate what the real FG is? I boiled 4.1 oz. corn sugar in 2 cups water for 5 mins. I then added that to 5.25ish gallons of wit. The FG after that was 1.010. What would it be pre-sugar? 1.008 or 9?

Thanks for any help you give.

Cheers! :mug:

Four ounces of corn sugar in a 5.25 gallon batch would add .002 (2 points) to your FG.

Awesome. Thanks Yoop! Much appreciated. I figured it was something like that. This batch was a point lower OG than the previous batch, so it makes sense that the FG is down one point at 1.008.

Thanks much. :mug:
