Anybody ever use this Kettle Fining? I've been using good old flaked style Irish Moss for a while and will be replenishing my stock I expect and I am thinking of alternatives.
And so I saw this in the NCMalt catalog...
AB Vickers Breakbright
Breakbright Super Tablets contain kappa carrageenan from red seaweed (Irish Moss) and bicarbonate and are a perfect kettle fining solution for breweries and brewpubs with medium to small kettles that do not filter their beer.
These tablets can be added directly to the kettle 10 minutes before the end of the boil. Typical usage rate is...
3.5 - 6 grams/bbl.
(GR-BGHT-1K) 2.2 pound package $47.95
How is it different than Super Moss?
