New to extract brewing and need advice on a substitute for 3 kg of pale LME. I cannot seem to find it for a decent price and wondered if there is an alternative. I could get a "Light Gold" LME if that would work. I want to brew a special bitter and it calls for 3 kg of pale LME.
Thanks in advance
barron

Use any 'Light', 'Pale', 'Pilsner', 'Extra Light', 'Gold', or similar named extract.

Amber and Dark extracts contain some crystal, and would not be suitable substitutes.
