I pitched my starter into my ale last night, Im using a plastic bucket fermenter. I put it a little more than five gallons maybe 5.2 just to get a full five in my secondary later. But anyway, when I woke up this morning yeast was spewing out of my airlock.
I know I need blowoff tube, but my concern here is the sanitation of it.
I was thinking of putting a stopper and an airlock on a plastic jug and cutting a hole in the jug to put the blow off tube in. I'm not sure what to do here, sanitation is my concern, any suggestions?
