I'm a poutine purist 99.9% of the time. I don't like it when there's other **** on top. Poutine is fries (fresh cut, not McCain superfry garbage), cheese curds, and gravy. Nothing more, nothing less. The moment you start tossing stupid garbage on top it's no longer poutine; it's fries with toppings.

Your assessment of Hop Eating Grin was pretty accurate. I thought it had more of a hop bite then Hopslam, and the wildflower honey kicked it back for a pretty sweet finish. 4.25, would drink again. Probably the last can tonight, as a matter of fact lol

The deal also gives Cigar City access to Fireman’s financial resources as well as potential brewing capacity at Oskar Blues’ facilities in Longmont, Colo., Brevard, N.C. and a third, yet to open brewery in Austin, Texas.

That makes some of these deals worth it if you can expand capacity without having to invest in a new facility.

Its seemingly becoming somewhat of standard practice to band together with the larger/mid-size operations. Apparently it helps them with purchasing and ingredients since they are buying as one group. it also makes it a tad bit harder for InBEV to try to buy them out.
