$45 10 plate chiller on ebay

and was wondering if anyone here has experience on this unit. Do you think it's big enough or should I go with a 15 or 20 plate model. It's about the length and width of a Blichmann, but with 1/2 the plates.

You're not the first one to find that. At least three other people have discovered it, and they all made threads about it as well.

I personally wouldn't buy this. I built the dies that made similar parts for the automotive industry and if my finished product looked like that it would have failed the pressure test. what concerns me most is the way the top plate fits you can see it doesn't overlap the other plates evenly. Just to give you an idea of how perfectly these things have to fit together the flatness tolerance was +/-0.0015" the flange height was +/- 0.010" the tolerance doubled in the corners to ).020". If you can find one that has nice even spacing from top to bottom that is the one you want. I'm not saying that for this application it wouldn't be good, but in my mind it makes me nervous.
