Well I set about to brew for the 2nd time after my exploding carboy incident. Everything seems to be going along well. It is a stout kit with a grain soak. Came up with a OG of right around 1.05 which is within specs. Set up the fermentation with a carboy cap and blow off tube. The 1st day the blow off tube did have particles forced through it as the fermentation was quite active. She was still bubling nicely this morning and I look forward to watching it go. Thanks to all for the advice that has gooten me this far.
