1 gallon fermenter question

I would like to brew 1 gallon experimental batches could I use a one gallon gatorade jug, juice jug, or a milk jug? I have an extra air lock that will fit most of those.

One gallon fermentors aren't expensive (maybe 6 or 7 dollars) if you want the proper glass vessel. I would recommend it because they are glass, sturdy, and can be easily cleaned and sanitized.

+1 I use the 1 gallon organic apple juice jars from Earthfare. $7 and you get free juice!

Has anybody use coconut flakes in the fermenter(primary)? If so, how much in a 1 gallon carboy. Oh, I will be making a BBS porter and want it to be coconutty!
