1.5 TC Radius face solder flange

Has anyone silver soldered the 1.5 TC radius face solder flange on a fermenter. If so, how did it work under pressure and cold crashing with the temp changes. I'm thinking of doing this to add sample port to my stainless fermenter.

I don't think it will be a problem, I've got one in my kettle and it's not going anywhere. I would think there'd be more expansion and contraction going from room temperature to boil and back than room temp to cold crash temps.

Thanks' Tim. I actually have a pro brewer friend that has a friend who is a stainless welder and thinks he can weld those fittings on. That would be ideal.

If you can get it welded that's definitely the way to go.

TC weld ferrules are better for welding because the wall thickness more closely matches.
