1/4 and 5/16

If I get a 1/4 tee and already have 5/16 gas lines if I use a clamp will it leak?
Need an quick answer for my order. Thanks Chopps

You'll probably be fine, I think the barbs on my manifold are 1/4 and I know my hose is 5/16.

Why not just build a T with 1/4" barbs and a 5/16 barb?

I may do that in the future but for now I will give the tee a try

Give it a try. When you first hook it up put some pressure on the lines and hold the tee under water to see if it leaks. No sense leaking away an entire tank of CO2 if it does happen to leak.

Why not buy one that's professionally welded & all stainless?

In all due time my young grasshopper but for now the tee should do. Also as the op said I was making an order they only had the 1/4 tees
