I just received a lot of VWR precission hydrometers I bought on ebay. 13 hydrometers for $10.00 plus shipping.

The lot included 7 hydrometers out of useful range (1.420 - 1.490) and 6 in two ranges that together cover the spectrum of brewing. 3 are 1.130 -1.060, the other 3 are 1.070 - 1.000. They are numbered every .001, with marks every .0005. They are US made and accurate +/- .0005

So now I can be even more obnoxious and report my OG to be 1.1111, or 1.0525. Unfortunately I can't measure over 1.130.

I challenge you to brew a beer that requires the 1.420-1.490 hydrometer.

Wouldn't that be just throwing yeast in a can of LME?!
