Weedwacked hops!?!?

So I get home today and my landlord weedwacked my hops.

They are about 1-2 weeks from harvesting and he hit all the vines at the bottom.

The hops were for a wet hopped beer thst I was going to brew from my wedding in September and I am devastated.

Is their anything I could do to get them through the next week? Maybe put the stalks in a bucket of water or should I pick them now?

I feel your pain. Huge hailstorm got most of my hops this year.
Oh well.. as my GF said, "Whats the big deal, you only have to wait another year"
Ugh.

I put the stalks in a bucket with water and will just brew my beer this weekend..
