Smell your summit and azacca before pulling the trigger on this. Ive gotten summit that smelled so strongly of garlic and onion I threw it out. Azacca isn't bad but what Ive gotten my hands on has been sort of meh. Very stereotypical hop character. I think of it as more of a filler than something you want to showcase. Works as a bittering hop.

Thanks for the tip! I'll smell check 'em. This is a use up the hops in the freezer brew and I have 8oz of Azacca in there. I've heard it's a little mellow so that's why there's more of it in there than the other hops.

Brewed it up yesterday and it smells / tastes fantastic. It's going like mad already this morning, should be on track to package early next week and get it carbed up for Labor Day.

I am interested to read your thoughts on this one when it is ready. I did a Pale with all Azacca, well except warrior for bittering, and wasn't a fan of it, but could just be me.

So how was it?

Where was your summit from, and what year was it? I'd like to get some again but don't want to play garlic roulette.
