I bought two 64oz containers of Motts juice from Target.
I opened one to add a few ounces to top off another batch, closed it tightly and tossed it on the shelf next to the other one (unopened).
That's the short lesson of the day...don't do that. I noticed it was a bit oddly shaped when I pulled it off the shelf; it had clearly expanded. I opened it slowly and psssssssssssssssst it went. Didn't lose much juice, but it had already begun fermentation. In hindsight, it was actually pretty tasty
...but any longer and I very well could have had quite the mess to clean up.
