Im about to size up my batch size to 15-20 gallons and was wondering about hose sizes before i start welding my kettles.

Would i be able to get away with the standard 1/2" size hoses ive been using for the 5 gallon batches i've been doing or would i also have to get bigger ID hoses? And i were to need bigger hoses, what sizes are recommeded for this kind of batch size? Will i also need to replace my chugger/march pumps?

I would stick with the 1/2" hoses. It shouldnt matter except for slightly more time to transfer. Anything bigger than that, I feel like itd be a pain to secure everything with clamps

I brew those size batches and find 1/2" hose just fine. I can make a solid whirlpool and I dial back my herms flow so I don't compact my grainbed too much.
