The tun can be direct fired with the insulation jacket in place. The insulation has been tested for efficacy as follows. In 42F ambient temps, 8 gallons of 180F water lost 7 degrees with the insulation in place while the bare keg lost 17.
Two welded couplings for drain and thermometer, includes 3pc ball valve, stainless diptube, Tel-tru thermometer, weldless recirculation port with locline interior tubing, and 16 gauge full false bottom with perforated support stand.
