Hey folks. Pretty new to brewing.
Im making a stout. I read that adding fruit, wild fruit, to stout is pretty nice. So i bought 150 tonns, NOT, of frozen blackberries.
How should i do it? I read that it is to be added to the second fermentation.
Should i boil the fruit and add it to the fermentation? Any tips and tricks?

Cheers Petter

Thaw and add. The alcohol in the secondary will kill any bugs on the fruit. Puree it if you want more of the flavors (and a bigger mess) in your beer. It will be difficult to clarify if you puree the fruit.
