Amp + watt + volt meter.

Anyone using one of these in their control panel?

I'm considering upgrading my panel and like the amount of information this meter could provide. Not to mention some serious bling factor

It looks like it will handle 5 amps as is, to measure higher current you would need current transformers also

Yeah, the same seller offers a 50a:5a current transformer that should work for my application.

Would the best place to install this be where the power cable enters the panel before the main power switch or after the main power switch?

Voltage connections after, CT whichever is most convenient. That is a bit of money but some serious bling.

Check out l3asturd's build. It looks like a similar meter. It's been a while since I read that thread so I don't remember how it was wired (or if that's even mentioned).

This is what I am planning to use. They have accompanying current and voltage meters. No idea the IP rating, but I think they are slick and I'm gonna give it a go. Be interesting to know your power usage, then you can calculate your cost exactly.
