Does anyone know the best place to order the weldless fittings and the bazooka tube tor the keggle?

Here's a cheap bulkhead: http://www.greatbargain.net/order/shop1.html Many of the big online shops also carry them.

If you ever use pellet hops, I would suggest the hopstopper over the bazooka tube. http://www.ihomebrewsolutions.com/TheHopStopper.html Or you could DIY a hop filter like a few of us around here.

What the hell is that a large grain bag? Do you add your hops through the PVC collar? That's some mighty fine engineering there!:mug:

It's a huge (18" long) fine mesh hop bag. Yes, you just throw the hops in through the 4" opening. Others have used large paint strainers from Lowes/HD with good results.

I think that brass is fine to use, like sparky said. If you are looking for one stop shopping and want stainless fittings try northernbrewer, they have the complete weldless fittings and the bazooka tubes/T's.

Cheers

I use a CFC, but I know others use ICs. It's easy to just lift out if you wanted to stick the IC in before the boil is complete.

Did you read ScubaSteve's review? He uses an IC. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=40738

Yup....I'm a convert. I use an IC, and I basically have the bag in for the whole boil. Then, 20 minutes from flameout, I put the IC in and replace the bag. When it's time to cool, I take a sanitized spoon and stir around the outside of the IC.

When I'm done cooling, I pull everything out and get a strong whirlpool going (you can alternatively leave the bag in when whirlpooling so you can add whirlpool hops), then leave it covered for about 20 mins so the cold break can concentrate at the center of the keg. Then I drain from the ball valve, and it is CRYSTAL clear. When I get all my QD's in the next few weeks, I will try using a pump to do a recirculating whirlpool "Jamil Style".:mug:
