I bought Midwest's extract Coffee stout kit, & wondered if anyone had brewed it before & your thoughts. For those unfamiliar, here's the gist of it:
Steep 8 oz chocolate malt, 4 oz flaked barley, 4 oz Caramel 60L, 4 oz Roasted barley for 30 min.
6 lb dark LME
Boil .5 oz challenger hops (AA 6.7%) 60 min
Boil 1 oz tettnanger hops (AA 4.1%) final 2 min
Primary 5-7 days, secondary with a pot of freshly brewed coffee for 4-5 days.
