We started with a pretty simple American wheat style (all grain). And after primary we added 3 lbs of organic blueberries (OG was 1.058). Fermented madly. Last year we did this same recipe and we DID put 4 oz of priming sugar and got mini volcanoes from our bottles when opened.

When using a lot of pure fructose should we forgo the dextrose when bottling?

No but make sure fermentation is complete after the fruit. What were the gravity readings?

My bet is last time it was not fully fermented prior to bottling.

Beersmith says that we should shoot for 1.012 and we just took a measurement and got 1.017.

Do we wait till we get 1.012 or do u think it is relativity ok?

Thanks for help BTW!

^^The most important thing. Be sure 2nd fermentation is done so the fructose doesn't do a repeat performance. when FG is stable 2 days apart,prime & bottle as usual. But not till then.

exactly as everyone else stated;
take another reading in a couple days, and maybe another on after that. if they are all the same, go ahead and bottle.

if it is still dropping, let it be. it needs to be stable for at least 2 to 3 readings a couple days apart each.
