I'm getting ready to bottle a brandywine after 6 months bulk aging.
I'd like to put it in a more interesting bottle that a standard 12 oz, and don't really like the brown 16oz "belgian" beer bottle most retailers have. (I'd like to find 2 cases of empty St. Peters Porter bottles, but they apparently make them only for that brewery)
Any thoughts about using a 500 ml swing top, but putting a cork in it like they do with the belgian lambic? (using the swing top to keep the cork in, similar to the cork+cap combination on a lambic?)
thanks
tim
