Newb!!

Ok, so I've never made my own beer, and I admit, I only like a few types. But I like to make my own jerky, cure my own olives, make my own liqueurs, and my own jams. So the idea of making a beer I might like and sharing it with friends sounds really fun!

With that being said, I was given a Mr Beer kit for Xmas and I made my first batch of West Coast IPA, so we'll see how it turns out.

Does keeping it in the fermentor (sp?) about 3 weeks, then in the bottle for 2 weeks sound about right?

Any suggestions for places to get product besides Mr Beer)?

Also, my fav beer is ShockTop (orange). any suggestions as to how I could make a similar beer?

i never tryed mr. beer, what i did in home brew beer let it ferment, then carboy after that pop keg or bottle it. there is alot of info on here so look for it.

Search around there is a huge mr beer thread and welcome
