Does oxyclean affect the wire on flip top bottles like Grolsh? I just found some and I want to make sure I don't destroy them.

How long are you soaking? I use oxyclean on everything..( I mean everything....I don't use dishwasher detergent anymore...) and I've never seen any oxidation on my grolsh bottles. I guess I use it to 'clean'....not 'soak'. MY contact time is a minimum.....
just enough to wash/brush out.

Jeez... maybe I need to slow down a bit on the cider cause I thought the title of this thread was:

Oxyclean and flip FLOPS! :drunk:

I have used oxyclean on ~200 flip tops without issue. However as stated earlier they have not been in solution for extended periods of time; perhaps 30 minutes at the most.

I had 80 of them soak in oxiclean for 2 days because I forgot about them and I have no oxidation issues
