autoclave white labs tubes

I have a couple white labs tubes that I would like to store some yeast in. Is it possible to autoclave the tubes or is that a meltdown waiting to happen

I believe they can be autoclaved but I'm not sure.

I believe they're just PET parisons (that would otherwise be blow-molded into plastic soda bottles). Best to contact White Labs and ask them though.

I am guessing they are autoclavable simply because how would White Labs ensure sterility of their package before they put the yeast in? Unless they use gas or irradiation I imagine they autoclave them.

I don't know how hot your autoclave will be but seals on the caps of my tubes melted when i boiled them.

Depends on how your autoclave is set. My wife runs plastic lab-ware in hers all day long with no problems.
