What's up with this krausen?

I checked the gravity of my Holiday Spiced ale on Saturday after 2 weeks in primary and was dismayed to see it at about 1.040 (down from 1.066). Taste was good but it can't be considered ready for secondary at that gravity, so I swirled the carboy to try and rouse the yeast (Wyest 1338) and today (Monday) at lunch if have this:

The quality of my iPhone shots is lacking but it's very dense almost like the head on a Guinness. I'm not really worried because at least now the yeast is doing something, but it looks unlike what I am used to.
 
looks fine to me. it is a dark beer after all. add some nutrient and it should be good. your fermentation just got stuck. but from the looks of things its going again. check the gravity again in a few days and see if its gone down. if not come back I'm sure we can help.
