Here's mine. Post yours to share ideas. These are new or replacement things I want, excuse me need...

Propane tank
BLC
10lbs DME
2 Perlicks
30' IC
Sure Screens
Finings
1 Better Bottle

I'm getting gift certificates at Menards and Home Depot. That way, I can continue to work on my basement and get some brewing items too.

I really need a chiller. Might have to use some of the Christmas bonus to buy myself a present :)

A couple perlicks
An XBox360
A couple camera lenses
The last 3 books in the Dark Tower series
Gift Certificates to my LHBS, Best Buy, and Borders

Not much in the way of brewing supplies, I'm pretty much maxed out on space in my apartment.

At the risk of sounding really cheesy, all I'm asking for is good health and well being for my family and friends. It's been a tough year and an exciting one at the same time, but too many moments of feeling like a guy (or gal) can't catch a break.

Same as every year...I'll buy stuff for myself because no one can think of anything I'd appreciate...(what do you get a guy who has everything syndrome)...they already know that if I want it I'll buy it.

My wife just wants her new tiled basement floor done before Christmas. I already picked up the 2 new Tiffany-style lamps last night...I now she wants new end tables for the LR. she'll pick them out herself...I'm out of those decisions. :D

5-10 hours of tattoo work.
I want new camping gear.
I want new hunting gear.

Since the kids bdays, my bday, and xmas all fall in the same month I tend to just spend it all on them and the wife. I get myself whatever I want throughout the year anyways. So I'll get my gear in Jan-Feb..

I haven't been able to brew yet because of the lack of equipment, a friend bought me a kit for bday/xmas but I don't get it for another few weeks....anxiety sucks.

I hear ya, been a rough year health-wise in my family too.

Plate Chiller
Kettle with spigot
Foodsaver

And, sadly, clothes.

I'm also a weasel and getting my wife a new Palm/Blackberry something or other, so I'm gonna take her old phone for myself. Win-win.

That's all I got for xmas last year, but now that our basement is finished, I'm looking for a barley crusher and atleast 3 more kegs.

I'm having less and less beer related wishes I need but:

Site Glass
Designing Great Beers book
Wort Pump
Plate Chiller (and will then have CFC to sell :) )
Old Pueblo Brewing artsy fartsy logo (own the domain name).

And the obligitory refill my closet with some new clothes as I have no taste and need help here.

Dart Board
12" Dewalt Mitre Saw
iPod speakers / Docking base
Bottle of Maker's Mark
12 Nights of a Slutty, Slutty Wife
Office Desk

A SS conical fermentor. It is to be one christmas and two birthdays worth of loot from my family (parents, wife, daughter).

I can not decide if i want the 12.5 from more beer or the 14 from blichmann.

I don't quite understand delaying things you want until December and then maxing out the credit cards. This commecialism is a crazy ride and I want off. Last year I struck a deal with the wife, parents, and siblings and we agreed to skip the gifts. It was one of the most enjoyable and stress-free get togethers we've had in a long time.

No one said anything about maxing anything out. you sir........... baaahhh humbug!

I am sure had you made beer as gifts that would have been stress free and enjoyed by most.

We do the same thing in my family with the exception of the little ones. It's much easier on everyone to just buy for the kids.

Now if I could only get SWMBO's family to see it the same way.

I'm with you. A little peace might be nice.

You'd think so, but people get so caught up that all kinds of disappointment and resentment reigns. I spent more on your gift, I put a lot more thought into my gift, you screwed me, that was a regift, etc. I know it's so scrooge.

I'm not saying everyone is maxing out credit cards but if there's any one time of the year where people do the most damage to their already high credit card balances, it's now. It's like some kind of brainwashed rationalization that taking the whole next year to pay off a xmas gift is righteous.

I just want a quiet morning home with my husband... and i'll even cook breakfast. I want no more than a very happy 2008.

I feel you bro, I have no choice though. I got both my daughters bday's in Dec, mine also. Then you got xmas, it's not my kids fault we got horny in April, twice. So since most people will only see them once or twice in the month they get short changed with one gift - I make up for it. On a lighter note, we celebrate all three of our bdays the same day. I rent a pavilion and the kids/oldies come down from like 11AM-5 or 6PM, the adults just lounge and around and we get hammered until 12AM.. We're young parents, 26 and 25.

My sister fought this but to everyone's pleasue, lost her fight. We now do presents for the kids instead of each other.

My family has an unwritten policy of no more than $15-20 on presents per person; so it might come as a gift certificate to Amazon from the far away family members, or something like a few nice chocolates and some Harry and David if nearby. Not enough for anyone to fret over, and it gives us (and especially our younger family members) something to open, which seems to make everyone happy.
