hey all-

Did my sixth batch last week and it was a hefeweizen. My main question is whether or not you let a hefe clear in a secondary. This seems very counter intuitive to me. Secondly, the krausen is unlike any other beer I have brewed. It it looks likes a lot of milk bubbles. Very creamy. Anyone have a similar experience? I used WLP380.

Thanks

par for the course as far as the krausen goes...

i tend to leave my heffes in the primary for one to three weeks then bottle. you will not hurt the beer if you secondary it however.

I just brewed a Hefeweizen, Primary for 7 days, Secondary for 16 days (had to go out of town for family emergency) then bottled. Can't wait to try it, it's been in the bottle for 9 days now.
This almost as clear as my Kolsch.
