So what are the essential books on beer and brewing that todays homebrewer should have at home? I have a copy of How To Brew by John Palmer on the way and of course The New Complete Joy of Homebrewing which got me started. Anything else thats good to have around or just fun to have on the shelf?

I have over 20 books in my library.

I recommend The Brew Masters Bible and Designing Great Beers and as many recipe books as you can find. Also Papazians The Home Brewers Companion.

I'm sure others will help with suggestions.

I recommend Making Beer by William Mares.

Since the good ones for your library have already been mentioned, this book is a great and entertaining read and provides some interesting history on home brew.

It's a must for any Home Brewers library.
