Hi there,

I recently bought a conical and have been experimenting with it a little. My beer has been in my fermenter for about 3 weeks now. Initially one week was for fermentation and I decided to leave it in the conical another two for secondary fermenation.

I would like to know whether fellow brewers do simialr things and whether people bottle directly from the fermenter?

TIA.

I don't have a conical, but don't you usually get all the trub and such when you open it up? I guess you could drain all of that off and bottle from what's left? I'm sure someone else would chime in

I have a conical and just open the top up and bottle as usual with a siphon and bottle wand. I use the conical racking port for kegging.
