I poured my wort through a 5 gallon paint strainer bag when transferring it to my primary. I tasted a sample of my Big Ben Pale Ale 10 days later when I took a gravity reading and it didn't taste "hoppy". Was this due to the strainer bag, or is this typical of this style? Its an extraxt kit from Midwest.

I do the same thing and its most likely not due to the strainer After the boil your hop utilization for bitterness is over.

In my novice opinion - late addtion hops (flameout, hopback and dry hopping) as I understand them would give you a hop aroma and maybe some "hop" flavor depening on the hops you used. I'd wait til you've bottled and its carbed. sounds like its a pretty light balanced ale from the description and reviews. I'm sure others here could tell you more based on the recipe (if you post it).
