It's time again for the Maltose Falcons annual Mayfaire competition. As before, the contest counts as one of the three Sierra Nevada considers in choosing the California Homebrewer of the Year and Anchor considers in choosing the Homebrew Club of the Year. Also one of the contests used in determining the PG brewer of the year.
One new perk: The winner of BOS gets not only the hand cast bird, Hashell Dammit, but gets to brew his beer at Ladyface Brewing in Agoura. And it will be entered as Ladyface's entry in the pro-am category at this years Great American Beer Festival.
Falcons have their own (better) style guidelines than the BJCP, so there are more places to put your beers. The new addition this year is Belgian Quad. Also, only two beers are needed per entry this year.
See http://www.maltosefalcons.com/comps/2012Mayfaire/ for information on entering and judging.
Cheers!
