Has anybody ever had issues with the steel ball bearing on their corona style mill. I lost the one on mine from the adjustment end and wondered if anyone else ever had and what they replaced it with besides a new mill. I'm thinking of buying some sling shot ammo steel balls and using one of those and if I lose another one I'd have several extras!

I am not certain that mine has anything that could be called a bearing, per se.

I'll have to look, but yes, slinsgot ammo is a good bet.

I bought my mill used and the ball bearing was missing.

I found one at the hardware store.

You might even be able to use a BB

The ball bearing likely eliminates the wear of the shaft riding in the cast iron mill front section. With a tiny dab of grease, the mill would likely function fine for a long time, perhaps needing an adjustment every hundred sacks :)

I wouldn't be overly concerned, these things are not BMW's :)
