Quick ? about gas line

Caution: Dumb question ahead

Does anyone see a problem with using a 5/16 - 1/4 connector piece to bring an existing commercial gas line into a homebrew (1/4") manifold? Or should I just get a 5/16" manifold instead?

Nope, no problem with doing that on the gas side. Just make sure your connections are tight and you'll be fine.
