Anyone have experience with this strain? I propagate/reuse yeast by taking a sample of the flocculated yeast/trub. Up until this point, I've been sticking to highly flocculant yeast that forms a nice cake, but now I need the qualities of WLP007. Anyone know if this forms a decent cake...at least enough to harvest a nice sample from?

Love that yeast....have a tube in the fridge on deck for my next dry stout.

Extremely flocculant.

not the best pic but this is what it looks like immediately after shaking the vial...already clumping:

Yeah, 007 is like brown cottage cheese. It's crazy flocculant. Used it on my New Year's Barleywine back in June and had to roust it a couple times because it fell out of suspension so fast.

Excellent...

I'm going to use this one for a high grav red that's on deck, and a Double Bastard clone after that.
