hello,
i just started fermenting today, and i filled up the airlock with distilled water as directed. however the water seems to be getting pushed up and out of the airlock by the CO2 inside the fermenter, rather than the water staying in the airlock and the air escaping..
is this normal, and if not is there any way i can correct this
cheers lads

Only fill the airlock about halfway, do not fill it completely up. If that doesn't fix it i dunno what your problem is...

If you are using one of the "double bubble" air locks then this is fairly normal. Eventually enough water will get pushed out and some will evaporate where when the CO2 comes out it will just bubble.

thanks guys, problems fixed, turns out that there was just too much water in there. the CO2 pushed it out, and now it is bubbling fine. thanks lads
