Thought I'd share my latest creation.
The igloo ball valve rubber tubing and and 1/4 nipple I had sitting around my work. I had to buy some SS washers and the copper piece at lowes. I used the stock grommet. I'm using a grain bag (paint strainer from lowes) for now. But with the copper piece I might eventually go with some copper tubing in the bottom. I put it together and used it last night for an oatmeal stout. worked better than I could have hoped for kept the temp spot on for an hour. I actually messed the temps up and had it mashed in at 164 for twenty minutes before I realized I was to high. I put some cold water in and got it to drop to 150 and it stayed that way for anther 40 min. I after I topped of the last time I had like 2.5 gallons of water and 4.5 lbs of grain.
