I noticed something that doesn't make sense to me today using Beer Smith regarding strike temp:
I have data entered for a 10 gallon round cooler and when using the recipe portion when I tell it to use adjust for my equipment the suggested strike temp is 169*F using 15 lb of grain in a 1.25qt/lb mixture. Now when I go to the strike calc tool using the same values I get 167*F (70*F grain temp). Does anyone know what would be causing this difference? Which is more accurate?
Edit: Figured it out when I hit the details button .
