I got a older Kegerator for free from a friend of mine. The compressor is shot and looks like it needs to be replaced. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what kind I need and what it would take to replace it.

Compressors in newer refrigerators generally aren't considered worth replacing due to the cost compared to the cost of replacing the whole unit. But you can call an appliance repairman to get a more accurate answer.

You could probably just pick up a new/used fridge and re-use all of the hard parts (taps, stems, lines, etc.) to build a working system. check craigs list, so. cal is usually full of used fridges.
