Anyone entering brew at Splitrock?

I'm thinking about finally getting my feet wet in competitions by sending a few entries.

I can't find the rules and regs details though..

How many bottles per entry.
Details on packaging and labeling bottles...etc.


I'm assuming 2-12 Oz bottles per entry. Use their generic beer labels with a rubberband to attach.

I don't see a lot of other itinerary details...prejudging...results announcment...etc.

I might have to send up a hal dozen bottles just for the heck of it.

You're right. The norm is 3 bottles as far as I can tell but the guys in my club (meeting tomorrow) should know because a lot of them took some firsts last year.

There's a pretty big competition going on here in St. Louis and is the final qualifying event for the Tenth Annual Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing.

From looking at the past winners, it appears there were a ton of mail in entries.

Registration started yesterday and entries are due by November 30th. Judging is on December 8th.

I have a couple of secondary beers that will have time to be ready. I might give this one a go.

Ok, found out that you only need to send two bottles to split rock. I'm sending the last two bottles of blonde.

Nice web site. It's a shame you can fill out the forms online & print them, let alone register.
