I'm gearing up to brew an IPA recipe and my final hop addition is at flame out. I realized this afternoon while I was bored at work that I had never done up a beer that called for a hop addition at that point. What seems like a no brainer is really perplexing to me. So, I add the hops when I shut off my flame (I get that part), but then what? Do I leave them in there until I transfer to my fermenter? Until I pitch my yeast? Five minutes? Ten minutes? A second? When, o' when do I remove them? Thanks!
