I hail from central Il where there seems to be nothing but corn. Still, after six or seven beers, there aint nuttin like a full moon shining down on a field of corn, except maybe seeing that moon shining down on some mountains, or a beach, or maybe some woods, or even down on the desert sand, man Illinois sucks. Anyway i have just finished cooking my first batch of wort yesterday, twas an 'American Pale Ale' and saw my first bubble this morning. I came on here to get tips and recipes for my next batch, hoping for an IPA. since i am just starting out, i am not sure where to find all the specific ingredients since the batch i just started was from a kit. Anyway, i hope this site will be of help to me. Thanx to all the beer enthusiasts out there who got this thing started.

Welcome to the club and congratulations on your first brew.

Couple of rules:

1) Brew more immediately.
2) Be patient with this first beer. Let it be. It knows what to do.
4) When in doubt, refer to rule #1.
