I am thinking about adding a Bolt Style Site Glass that I can put in line to see the clarity of my wart when I am vorlauf'ing. I have found some, but they all see to have clover fittings on them. Yes, it would work. But I would like to find one with 1/2 NPT instead.....Anyone have a source or any ideas?

They make them in an NPT thread but they are indeed very expensive. Here are a couple of manufactures but be prepared to pay $300 to $500. If I were you buy a site glass from Bobby M and put compression (swagelok) fittings on each end.

How about a ready made one like this:

I'd have to go $25 plus shipping because of the two swagelock fittings but I could also make up the same thing by threading the tubing into two 1/2 to 1/4" bushings for about $15.

Wow! That was fast! Talk about "Real Time".:)

Bobby's prices are great from what I have seen. I did not however order from him, instead I purchased my material seperately and it cost me more than he charges for the assembled unit.

My purchase was two sight glass tubes (3/8" polycarbonate) and 2 stainless 1/2" npt x 3/8" compression fittings which are nice, but they were definately more than I would have paid for his equipment and his would have included the stainless 1/2" T fitting.

I will purchase his products for sure next time.

Salute! :mug:
