adding yeast during priming

I have read in several brewing books that many beleive in adding a second round of yeast after raking when beginning to botlle to increase carbination and overall conditions.

What are your thoughts on this, and would you add a dry yeast or liquid? :mug:
 
I've done it. May do it on a double IPA that I just brewedup. Last one I did didn't carb (yes I added the sugar!) Got some nottingham sittin around that wants to go for a swim. I don't do it regular though.
