just brewed biermunchers outer limits ipa. this is the first time i have dry hopped .i usually leave my wort in the primary only instead of racking to a secondary. could i just toss some hops into the primary after a week ? that way i could free up my second carboy for another batch

I would toss the hops into the second carboy, rack from the primary to the secondary in order to reduce the sediment and so that your beer isn't sitting on top of all of that dead yeast at the bottom. Clean the primary and use that for your next batch.

What? You expected an easy answer by coming here?

I'm dry hopping for the first time in 2 weeks. I have the same question but will most likely secondary as I have only one primary fermenter. If I had two, i think i'd just throw it in the primary.
