Picked up some Tulle for .75 cents a yard, Got 3 yards want to make 3 bags. I have a cheap portable sewing machine, does simple straight stitich, nothing fancy (zigzag etc).
want to make 3 Big Mashtun strainers. any suggestion on sewing them?

need to hold enough grain in a 10 gallon mash tun for a 5 gallon batch. Usually between 10 & 15lbs of grain some times lower rarely higher.

can sew some nothing pretty usually rod bags for pvc tubes... nothing that carries weight.

any help appreciated.

uh, you're asking a bunch of guys* on a beer brewing forum how to sew? and how to sew tulle no less.

good luck with that.

j/k. a quick google search shows that you have to use tissue paper at the seam or some other fabric for the thread to attach to.

*i know there are a lot of women here and not just guys.

You walk to the kitchen and ask your SWMBO to do it.

Sorry, nothing helpful to offer. The only thing I've ever stitched was by hand and I never tried again.
